Support Meetings
At this time, The SOS Collective offers 7 FREE support meetings per week.
Meetings are a chance to make connections, realize you're not alone, and finally start to shed the shame. SOS meetings are made up of women from all walks of life, at all stages of their journey. They educate and enlighten. It is often said that the wisdom is in the room.
"Connection is the opposite of addiction."
Our Hosts
Annette
Based in the US, Annette shares her slot with Maria. Drawing on many years of sobriety, she brings an upbeat, positive perspective that instils hope and motivation in others.
Jane
After a decade of searching Jane found the key to unlocking her long-term sobriety in an online modern recovery community in April 2020.
Jane feels privileged to share the room with her fellow hosts and women who show up and share their stories and vulnerability.
She brings her Low/High to each meeting and will be wingwoman alongside Katelyn in the Nova Collective each Tuesday.
Lisa
Lisa is in her 5th year of sobriety and has been hosting meetings in the recovery space for over two years. She believes that our ability to understand our story and discover what we need to learn so we can write the next chapter, is key to long-term sobriety. Her meetings focus on self-awareness, meditation, and journaling. She knows that community is the key to recovery, but that self-discovery and understanding is also needed to support all that we learn from each other.
Beth
Beth has almost four years of sobriety and has spent more than three of those volunteering in the sober community. She is passionate about helping women access the support they need to find freedom in sobriety. Originally from the north of England, Beth brings a mix of northern directness and humour to her meetings. Her sessions keep the focus firmly on alcohol, always with a light touch. You can find her on Instagram at @click_sober.
Katelyn
Katelyn is in her 2nd year of sobriety and handles things related to the SOS website. She and Jane tag team our Nova Collective meeting on Tuesdays, which is open to everyone in recovery, but geared towards those in their first 100 days. Finding community was the key to shedding the isolation and shame, and what finally got her days to stack up-these ladies truly are her lifeline.
Lynn
Lynn, from Australia, has dedicated many years to service, offering meetings that are both uplifting and comforting. She provides sensible, calm advice and shares her extensive knowledge in a way that resonates with attendees.
Carol
Carol, a senior member of SOS, found the joy of sobriety in 2022 after nearly 60 years of misery. Her desire to help our global community of women find a similar path resulted in developing a hosting intention which encourages abstinence and explores various avenues of emotional wellbeing.
Carol’s non-linear lifestyle offers opinions and researched wisdom on sensitive topics.
Linda
Linda is in her 5th year of sobriety and has been hosting meetings for 4 of them. She is from Dublin, Ireland and she is passionate about community, women supporting women and strongly believes that giving back is a fundamental part of recovery. Linda likes to create a calm and warm space where women feel comfortable, safe and can allow themselves to truly express how they feel wherever they are in their journey. She strongly believes that it is in the sharing of our stories that we both give and gain much wisdom.
Maria
Maria has been sober since 1986. She is an active member of AA who found modern recovery during the pandemic. “I love the way AA and SOS Collaborative marries for a holistic approach to sober living. Through SOS I have expanded my view of sober living while continuing to embrace my roots.” Maria brings decades of sober experience into our meeting space and focuses on topics that support a strong foundation for continuous sobriety.
Sherri
Sherri found sobriety in September, 2020. The freedom and clarity of a sober life opened up a sphere of possibilities. Her foundation is firmly rooted in connection and community. Sherri provides a safe space, and an honest, no-nonsense approach to recovery.
Testimonials
There's something powerful about women coming together in a kind and supportive space. A place where honesty, vulnerability and authenticity are welcomed. The SOS Collective offers exactly that: a non judgmental environment where everyone is genuinely there to uplift and support one another.
Beth - SOS Member
But we don't just learn how to get and stay sober. Oh no. We learn how to build our self-confidence and self-esteem. We learn to be empowered by our sobriety, to be strong and dependable, to be kind and supportive to others, and to lean in on our community when times are tough.
Linda - SOS Host
For me, the fantasy of sobriety wasn't just about abstaining from alcohol. It was about feeling whole. Waking witha clear head, meeting the day without guilt, and living without the obsessive thoughts of where my next drink would come from.
